The Nansha government highlighted 16 projects with investment or output value exceeding 10 billion RMB, such as the Guangzhou Industrial Investment and Capital Operation Holding Group's Digital Economy project as well as the Biomedical Industrial Park project, which are expected to boost district's high-quality development.

"As the Demonstration Zone of all-round Cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, Nansha has a promising future for investments with national strategic positioning. We will improve the services and policies to develop a better business environment for domestic and overseas investors," said Wu Yang, Executive Chief of Nansha District.

Wu stated that the GDP of Nansha exceeds 2 hundred billion RMB with an average annual growth rate of about 10 percent over the past 10 years. Advanced manufacturing industries such as automobiles and high-end equipment have seen rapid growth while emerging industries such as third-generation semiconductors, biomedicine, commercial aviation, and new energy storage are booming.

Ma Jiehong, Deputy Executive Chief of Nansha District, furthered that the proportion of emerging industrial projects increased to 76 percent among the newly contracted projects in Nansha.

She introduced the business environment in the district, saying "More than 240 Fortune Global 500 companies have invested or settled in Nansha District, including Toyota and Mitsubishi. The district also benefits from the educational resources and R&D resources in Guangzhou."

Ma stressed that Nansha is located at the geographic center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with a convenient transportation system. "It takes 35 minutes from Nansha to Hong Kong by the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Railway. After the completion of the Guangzhou-Zhongshan-Zhuhai-Macao High-speed Railway, we can go to Macao from Nansha by direct high-speed train as well," said Ma.
