The 2023 Global Mayors' Forum & 6th Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation is ongoing in Guangzhou from December 7 to 9. Representatives from 63 cities and 9 international organizations from 37 countries participate in the event.
“We see great potential for collaborating with Guangzhou in culture, education, and waterway development, which we need sustainable methods as well,” said Konstantinos Gerolymatos, Vice Mayor of Programming and Digital Governance and Recycling and Waste management of Halandri of Greece, at an interview with GDToday.
This event is a collaboration between the World Association of Major Metropolises, United Cities and Local Government (UCLG), and Guangzhou City, aiming at exchanging advanced experience in innovative development of urban governance and promoting the comprehensive, harmonious and sustainable development of cities around the world.
