Guangzhou's Panyu empowers GBA youth employment and entrepreneurship

On March 30, Guangzhou's Panyu District held the second phase of a talent exchange activity at the Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center. The event saw participation from government officials, industrial parks, universities, companies from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), as well as relevant associations and chambers of commerce. It aimed to provide a platform for interaction and exchange between young talents from the GBA and enterprises.

"With the advantages of abundant talent in the Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center and innovative talent policies, Panyu will promote the construction of a high-quality living circle and a high-quality entrepreneurship circle in the GBA, providing a bridge for exchanges and connections between Panyu and Hong Kong-Macao enterprises and talent," said Deng Yaoqi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Panyu District Committee, in his opening speech.

Entrepreneurs from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao shared their successful experiences in entrepreneurship and employment in Panyu, encouraging young people at universities to seize the opportunities of the times, actively engage in society, improve their employment skills, accumulate practical experience, and empower themselves for their employment and entrepreneurial dreams.

During the event, the Guangdong Hong Kong and Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Incubator signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the China Hong Kong Elitists Development Centre to further promote exchanges and cooperation between young talents in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, injecting new impetus into talent construction in the GBA and promoting the development of a talent hub in the GBA.

More than 160 students from Jinan University, Guangzhou University, and other participants visited the Guangdong Hong Kong and Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Incubator and other startup companies. They had the opportunity to learn and interact, experiencing the development process of enterprises and product research and development.

The event also featured an employment and entrepreneurship service consultation center, providing answers to difficult questions about employment and entrepreneurship policies in the GBA for job seekers from Hong Kong and Macao.

In addition, the event attracted more than 90 key enterprises in Panyu and high-quality enterprises in the GBA, including Guangzhou Haoyang Electronic Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Hi-Target Navigation Tech Co., Ltd., and Likoufu, to recruit talent.

These companies offered 330 high-quality positions, with recruitment needs exceeding 1,500 people, including 896 fresh graduates. A "Live with Positions" section was set up on-site, where representatives from 10 companies attracted over 3,000 online participants through live streaming.More than 1,600 graduates participated in the event.The enterprises receivedover 1,500 resumes, with more than 200 preliminary intentions for employment.
