On October 5, Guangdong reported 29 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases (10 in Guangzhou, 6 in Shenzhen, 1 in Foshan, 6 in Shaoguan and 6 in Huizhou), and 27 local asymptomatic cases (13 in Guangzhou, 4 in Shenzhen, 2 in Shaoguan, 4 in Huizhou, 2 in Dongguan, 1 in Zhongshan and 1 in Qingyuan). Moreover, there were 8 confirmed cases converted from asymptomatic cases (4 in Guangzhou and 4 in Dongguan).

Guangzhou's Nansha District detects 13 cases
13 cases were detected during the screening of residents under quarantine in Guangzhou's Nansha District on October 5, among which 8 were confirmed COVID-19 cases and 5 were asymptomatic cases.
These cases lived either at Nansha Street (南沙街) or Longxue Street (龙穴街) in Nansha District. They have been transferred to Guangzhou Eighth People's Hospital for treatment.
Tracks of the other new cases found on October 5 in Guangzhou involved Liwan, Baiyun and Huadu Districts.
