On June 17, Hengqin completed its first transaction of industrial land. According to the Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, the bid was won by the Hengqin-Macao Innovation Industrial Park Development and Construction Co., Ltd. Their plan is to develop this land plot into a comprehensive industrial park that includes emerging industries such as health products, food, bio-medicine, and medical devices.
The auctioned land is designated for Class I industrial use and is the first industrial land available in the Guangdong-Macao in-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. It covers an area of approximately 116,000 square meters.
The development is expected to add about 400,000 square meters of high-quality manufacturing space to Hengqin. This will primarily serve major industrial investment projects and promote the growth of Macao's brand industrialization.
