Guangzhou Metro has recently piloted the latest version of its network map at Wanshengwei Station, in preparation for the opening of the eastern extension of Line 5 and the opening of Line 7 Phase II at the end of this year.

The new map features three changes.
Newly added are lines and stations of the east extension of Line 5 (Wenchong - Huangpu New Port 文冲-黄埔新港), Line 7 Phase II (Higher Education Mega Center S. - Yanshan 大学城南-燕山), and Tram Huangpu Line 2 (Xiangxue - Kaiyuan Dadao East 香雪-开源大道东).
Shitan Station (石潭站) of Line 8 has added Guangzhou Baiyun Station and a railway station icon.
Last but not least, a transfer sign has been added between Luogang Station (萝岗站) of Line 6/Line 7 Phase II and Civic Square Station of Tram Huangpu Line 1.
To further facilitate passengers with the network information, Guangzhou will join the Guangzhou-Qingyuan Intercity Railway and Guangzhou East Ring Intercity Railway, which passengers can transfer to at Guangzhou Metro stations, as well as include Foshan Metro Line 2, Line 3, and Nanhai Tram Line 1 on the map.
