A glimpse of the South China National Botanical Garden

The South China National Botanical Garden, as China's second national botanical garden, was inaugurated on July 11 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province.

With a planned area of over 319 hectares and protected plants more than 20,000 species, this garden features scientific botanical research, ex-situ conservation, and ecological leisure tourism, as well as an expansion of the former South China Botanical Garden established in 1929. 

At present, there are 38 specialized areas in the garden, including magnolia, palm, ginger and orchid gardens, attracting 3 million visitors so far this year.

Opening hours: 7:30-17:30

Ticket price: 20 yuan; 50 yuan (including the whole garden and the greenhouse area).
