Event review: the short film contest came to a conclusion

On September 26, the 4th Cross-Straits Youth Creative Short Film Contest drew to a close as the sharing salon ended.

As a platform for exchanging experience on video shooting and editing the contest has gained popularity from young people in Guangdong and Taiwan since it was first held in 2018.

Themed on "City Image", the competition in this year adopted a new mode of "24 hours + 24 hours". The first 24 hours was for video-shooting, which was held simultaneously in Zhongshan and Taipei. At this stage, contestants were required to finish tasks on five themes, including "Lingnan-style architecture", "Looking for Sun Yat-sen", "Flash dancing", "City landmarks" and "Delicacy" within 24 hours.

After the Video-shooting Challenge, the organizer received a total of 789 footages from Guangdong and Taiwan and out of which experts selected 100 excellent footages, according to creativity, theme relevance and editing techniques.

The second 24-hours Challenge was a video-editing challenge. During this challenge, based on the selected 100 footages, contestants were invited to produce 30-120 seconds short films.

In the end, 10 works stood out as prize-winning works, including one first prize, one second prize, one third prize, and seven excellent prizes.

This event is organized by the Youth Council of (Zhongshan) Taiwan Business Investors Social Association and undertaken by udngroup.cn, GDToday and N-Video.
