GD reports a re-positive COVID-19 case in Jiangmen + GZ update

On May 24, Jiangmen's Kaiping detected a re-positive COVID-19 case during home health monitoring. The person didn't go out during the home health monitoring in Kaiping, and had been diagnosed as a confirmed COVID-19 case in Hong Kong.

At present, the person has been transferred to a designated hospital for isolation and treatment under closed-loop management. And a close contact (the driver) has already received centralized quarantine. The nucleic acid test results of the close contact on May 17, 19 and 24 were all negative.

Guangzhou's Baiyun District adjusts areas under COVID-19 control in Yongping Subdistrict

Starting from 8 o'clock on May 25, Baiyun has adjusted areas under COVID-19 control in Yongping Subdistrict as follows:

1.Blocks 1-4 of Chenghuige and Blocks 1-5 of Xiafenge, Yihe Residence, Yongping Subdistrict (永平街颐和山庄澄辉阁1-4座,霞芬阁1-5座) have been adjusted from lockdown areas to partial lockdown areas.

Residents shall not leave the areas and should pick up daily necessities at a designated time to avoid rush hour crowds.

2.Blocks 1-2 of Hefengge, Blocks 1-4 of Hanxuge, Blocks 1-5 of Qingyuege, and Blocks 1-4 of Xinglangge of Yihe Residence, Yongping Subdistrict (永平街颐和山庄和风阁1-2座,涵虚阁1-4座,卿月阁1-5座,星朗阁1-4座) have been downgraded to restricted areas.

In the restricted area, the measures of community-level epidemic prevention and control are strengthened, social gatherings restricted, and people are required not to leave the area unless necessary.

Guangzhou CDC on May 24 released a reminder for visitors to the city:

Arrivals with a travel history to Tonghua, Jilin Province (吉林省通化市) since May 8, and Chengdu, Sichuan Province (四川省成都市) since May 21, as well as residents with a red or yellow Suikang code, should report to their community (village), place of work or hotel, and cooperate with corresponding health management measures.

Update on Guangzhou's nucleic acid testing service within a 15-minute walk

Haizhu District

On May 23, Haizhu's first mobile nucleic acid sampling vehicle departed from the Community Health Service Center of Fengyang Subdistrict (海珠区凤阳街社区卫生服务中心) and drove into Heping Jiayuan Community (和平家园小区), providing residents with testing services on their doorsteps. It enables residents to receive tests within 15 minutes' walk, which will take less than 20 minutes to queue up.

Haizhu District has set up 103 regular nucleic acid sampling sites and 232 sampling units in densely populated public places with high flow of people, large communities, and urban villages.

Note: The regular nucleic acid sampling sites will be dynamically adjusted, please pay attention to notices released by the community.

Liwan District

By working with residents to safeguard epidemic prevention and control, Liwan aims to provide nucleic acid tests services within a 15-minute walk, with a total of 79 pilot sampling sites.

Baiyun District

Baiyun District has set up 529 regular nucleic acid sampling points, with nucleic acid detection covering its 24 towns and subdistricts.

Panyu District

Currently, Panyu District has a total of 171 pilot sites covering 13 towns and subdistricts. In the next step, the number of pilot sites will be increased to 210, further covering 16 towns and subdistricts in the district.
