The opening ceremony of 2023 Understanding China Conference (UCC) kicks off in Guangzhou on December 2.
Huang Qifan, Executive Vice Chairman of CIIDS Academic Committee and Former Mayor of Chongqing, addressed at the opening ceremony that China continues to play a key role in global economic growth. He analyzed there have been three major positive signs shown in China's economy over the past decade.
"China's economy shows three positive signs, that is, the export structure improved markedly; the introduction of foreign investment has continuously increased; the new development paradigm featuring the dual circulation in which domestic and overseas markets reinforce each other, with the domestic market as the mainstay has taken shape," said Huang.
He believes that as China has been pushing forward its modernization, the country’s strengths in economic system, market scale, supply chain and human resources bring dynamics, resilience and potential for future economic growth.
