There is a
900-year-old camphor tree near Huocun Primary School in Guangzhou's
Huangpu. The tree conjoined with a 300-year-old banyan tree, making
them Husband and Wife Trees. The camphor tree is huge and its trunk
is so big that it takes 12 primary school students to hug the tree in
a circle.
The ancient tree is a children's paradise. Young students play games such as 'hide-and-seek' 'throwing stones' and 'eagle catches chickens' under the tree, which made lots of good childhood memories.
