Guangzhou's cultural tourism treasures shine in Changsha

On August 11, a promotion conference on Guangzhou's cultural tourism resources took place in Changsha, Hunan Province, introducing the city's scenic spots, history, art, natural resources, and food to Changsha people and inviting them to take a visit.

The event started with a lion dance performance. A fashion show featuring Cantonese embroidery and watered gauze as well as a dance performance showcasing the Xiguan area's cultural vibes were also held, highlighting the cultural charm of the Lingnan area.

A wide range of tourist souvenirs and intangible cultural heritage products were also displayed. Guests got a close look at enamels, lime sculptures, olive pit carving, Cantonese embroidery, and Cantonese painted porcelain, and tasted local specialties such as herbal tea, baked pork biscuit, and other dim sums.

The event manager said that Changsha and Guangzhou have been cooperating in economic and social development after they became sister cities in 2004. He hoped that this activity would be an opportunity to further strengthen cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation between the two cities.
