In a significant move aimed at revolutionizing urban rail transit, Guangzhou Metro Group and Tencent jointly unveiled Guangzhou Suiteng Digital Technology Co., Ltd. on April 26 in Guangzhou. Positioned as an emerging urban rail transit technology company, it aims to develop smart urban rail.

Guangzhou Suiteng Digital Technology Co., Ltd. is invested in and established by Guangzhou Metro Group, Tencent Cloud Computing (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Metro Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 650 million RMB. The company's primary focus lies in the research, operation, and maintenance of the new-generation intelligent rail transit operating system—Suiteng OS. It also aims to provide customers with integrated solutions for intelligent rail transit.
In recent years, China's rail transit has seen rapid expansion, with megacities such as Guangzhou handling daily passenger flows of nearly 10 million. Accelerating the digital transformation of the entire rail transit chain and achieving the interconnection of infrastructure has become a requirement for development in the new era. In 2019, Guangzhou Metro Group and Tencent established the Suiteng Joint Laboratory to develop the iterative and upgradable rail transit intelligent operating system "Suiteng OS," which is operated on Guangzhou Metro.
The establishment of a joint company by the two sides aims to further promote the construction of Suiteng OS, develop replicable smart rail transit solutions for the industry, and lead the industry's transformation towards intelligent and automated high-quality development.
At the unveiling ceremony, the company signed contracts with 39 ecological partners, a framework agreement and project letter of intent with CRRC Intelligent Transportation Management Company. And it also inked a strategic cooperation agreement with Ningbo Yikatong Technology Co., Ltd.
Suiteng OS is the rail transit industry's first new-generation intelligent rail transit operating system based on the Industrial Internet and the Internet of Things. The system addresses issues such as isolated data islands, single-function systems, system rigidity, and redundant construction brought about by traditional industrial control system architectures.
