PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) settled in Guangzhou's Nansha and established its Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Innovation Business Headquarter there on February 6. It is the first "Big Four accounting firm" to settle in the district.
The PwC GBA Innovation Business Headquarters will provide enterprises in the GBA with services such as audit, tax, management consulting, and financial consulting. It will also organize research on sci-tech innovation and industry upgrading for Nansha's development.
According to the Nansha government, PwC has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Nansha government and set up the PwC China Science Innovation Service Center and PwC China Modern Service Industry Research Institute in Nansha in November 2022.
"We got the chance to visit Nansha because of the CNBC event ---- East Tech West in 2021 and were impressed by its diverse industries, advantageous location, and beneficial business environment," said Zhang Lijun, Southern Market Director of PwC China, adding "the full border reopening between the Hong Kong, Macao, and Chinese mainland on Feb.6 brings opportunities for us to help more Hong Kong and Macao enterprises expand business in Nansha."
