On February 28, the main project of a kindergarten in the international residential area of Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin officially started construction. It is expected to be completed in January 2025, with a school scale of 18 classes and 540 places.
The kindergarten is located in the north of Songqin East Road, east of Qianxi Road, west of Qianshou Road, and south of Aiqin Road. It covers a total land area of 6,900 square meters and a total floor area of 12,405 square meters. It has four floors above ground and one floor below ground, consisting of integrated activity rooms, special activity classrooms, service rooms, ancillary rooms, an underground traffic diversion center, and outdoor facilities.
The campus adopts a three-dimensional pedestrian-vehicle traffic separation model, creating a safe internal environment with no cars on the first floor. This enables a variety of teaching activities, including culture, art, and sports.
Since December last year, the cooperation zone has successively launched a primary school project and a middle school project. Together with the kindergarten project, the three schools are expected to provide about 3,700 places upon completion.
