New air cargo route connects Shenzhen to Anchorage and Chicago

On July 12, a B777F cargo plane loaded with cross-border e-commerce goods took off from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, made a stop in Anchorage, and then headed to Chicago. This marked the official opening of the Shenzhen-Anchorage-Chicago air cargo route by China Southern Airlines Cargo Co., Ltd., providing an efficient air bridge for China-US economic and trade cooperation.

The launch of the Shenzhen-Anchorage-Chicago air cargo route is expected to further promote China-US trade, maintain the stability and smooth operation of the global supply chain, extend international trade routes, drive China's domestic and international dual circulation, and promote high-level opening-up.

To ensure the smooth operation of the first flight, the company formulated a task list for the new route, actively preparing in various aspects such as operating permits, capacity arrangements, personnel training, crew resources, and logistical support. Multiple departments efficiently coordinated to ensure the safety and stability of the first flight.

The Shenzhen-Anchorage-Chicago route is the eighth route operated by China Southern Airlines Cargo Co., Ltd. since its establishment and the first route launched from Shenzhen as its second base.

Looking ahead, China Southern Airlines Cargo Co., Ltd. will further enhance the layout and structure of its cargo route network, expand the air transport channels from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to North America, Europe, and the Middle East. This will provide assistance in promoting high-level opening-up and ensuring the stability and smooth operation of the global industrial and supply chains.
