Foreign residents in Guangzhou can obtain 18 kinds of vocational qualification certificates through examinations, mainly including construction engineer, chemical engineer, electrical engineer, licensed pharmacist, qualification of computer and software professional, certified translator and interpreter, certified public accountant, patent agent, and medical qualification.
This is according to the latest catalogue released by Guangzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau on July 11.
Foreigners can log in the examination application websites with passport numbers, then follow the prompts to complete the registration.
The following is a list of 18 vocational qualifications for foreigners and corresponding application websites. It should be noted that all sites are available in Chinese only.
The English translation of policy details is for reference purposes only. In case of any discrepancy between the two versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
In addition, the Catalogue specifies that Hong Kong and Macao residents can apply for 41 vocational qualification certificates through exams, and Taiwan residents can apply for 32 certificates in the same way. The certificates have covered more than 20 industries such as information technology, finance, construction, education, health, transportation, and agriculture. All examinations are subject to uniform standards, organization, and certificates.
