Guangzhou’s Nansha upgrades supportive policies to boost industrial development

On June 6, Nansha District People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality launched a package of advantageous policies named “four chains policies” which upgrade and integrate the existing policies for innovation chain, industrial chain, supply chain finance and talent chain to boost industrial development.

The package includes 30 competitive measures covering different aspects including enterprise management, market expansion, technological innovation, capital financing, talent cultivation and government services.

It’s estimated that Nansha will invest more than 20 billion RMB to support enterprise and talent development.

To boost technological innovation, Nansha will offer R&D institutions subsidies up to 100 million RMB and R&D investment reward up to 10 million RMB. Furthermore, the district emphasizes their support on research outcome transformation and increases the amount of related maximum reward to 10 million RMB.

In terms of industrial chains, the policies offer enterprises a wide range of subsidies which support leading enterprises, enterprises settlement, business contribution, fixed asset investment, industrial upgrade, office occupancy, enterprises with high growth rate, promotion and industrial linkage. The district will reward leading enterprises up to 30 million RMB for settlement.

As for supply chain finance, Nansha set up an industrial fund with a total value of 5 billion RMB to support enterprises’ equity investment and cross-border trade investment. It will reward enterprises up to 500 thousand RMB for multi-currency cash pooling or cross-border transactions in financial assets based on transaction scale.

To facilitate talent pool development, the package includes subsidies for high-level talents and their team as well as their economic contribution.
