From November 28, Haizhu District implements different controlled measures in the district's eastern, central, and western parts. More than 10 grids that meet the standards of "COVID-free communities" in Kanglu, Datang, Chisha, and Houjiao will resume regular operation after a comprehensive assessment, according to the press conference on Guangzhou's fight against COVID-19 today (November 28).
"On November 27, Guangzhou reported 7,365 new local COVID-19 infections, of which 94 were detected outside the controlled areas. 5,351 patients discharged from Guangzhou's makeshift hospitals. A total of 23,398 patients have been discharged in this wave." Zhang Yi, deputy head of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, said at the press conference held today.
Haizhu District added 6,920 new confirmed COVID-19 cases. Zijinli area became another center of the pandemic. Jiahai Subdistrict sees rapid growth, especially in Taichong, Jude Flower Garden, and Hongwei New Village. Fengyang and Kanglu areas see gradually decreased numbers of daily new infections.
In addition, sporadic cases continued to occur in Sushe and Jiangnan Middle subdistricts in the west of Haizhu. The epidemic situation remains complex.
According to the Notification of COVID-19 Prevention and Control Measure Adjustments in Haizhu District issued on November 28, stranded people will be relocated. The district will evacuate stranded people in a close-loop way to ensure no leakage of the virus from the controlled area and transfer them in different batches back home based on their will.
The transference is applicable for those :
(a) who meet the "3+5+3" requirements with a green health code, namely the grid, community, or building they are staying has seen no new infections for at least three days; have taken the PCR test with negative results and shown no syndrome of infection for five consecutive days, and have completed a three-day centralized health monitoring.
(b) who meet the "8+3" requirements with a green health code have taken the PCR test with negative results for eight days and shown no syndrome of infection within the latest three days.
The outbreak in Tianhe District has developed rapidly in the past two days, affecting Changxing, Yuancun, Zhuji, and Huangcun subdistricts. Tangxia Subdistrict detected multiple mixed pipe abnormal PCR test results. Epidemics are mainly in the urban village, with a high risk of community transmission.
The epidemic in Panyu District has increased rapidly, mainly occurring in Luopu and Shawan subdistricts and Hualong Town, involving factories, plazas, and schools, with a high risk of community transmission. Zengcheng, Conghua, and Yuexiu districts have sporadic cases and small local epidemic clusters.
Baiyun District has found increasing infections out of controlled areas in the past 3 days, mainly in Shimen and Jingtai subdistricts and Zhongluotan Town. The epidemic situation in Huangpu, Nansha, Huadu, and Liwan districts was relatively stable.

On November 27, Guangdong reported 379 new locally transmitted confirmed cases and 7,761 asymptomatic cases.
Shenzhen detects 54+72 new cases
On November 27, Shenzhen added 54 confirmed cases and 72 asymptomatic cases. Among the cases, 54 were detected during centralized quarantine, 6 during domestic quarantine, 8 among the key population under closed-loop management, 3 in the screening of high-risk areas, 15 in the detection of close contacts, 16 in a key population under non-closed-loop management, 1 in coordinated detection, 20 in the community screening, and 3 were diagnosed when the individuals sought medical treatment.
Zhuhai adds 6+12 new cases
On November 27, Zhuhai reported 6 new confirmed cases and 12 asymptomatic cases. There was also a new case imported from abroad. The cases have been all transferred to the designated hospital for treatment.
Shantou reports 4+5 new cases
On November 27, Shantou reported 4 confirmed cases (mild type) and 5 asymptomatic cases. 6 cases were found during the centralized quarantine, 1 during home quarantine, and 2 detected when the individual sought medical treatment. The cases have been all transferred to the designated hospital for treatment, and their condition was stable.
Foshan adds 23+222 cases
On November 27, Foshan reported 23 confirmed cases and 222 asymptomatic infections, of which 216 were detected among residents under quarantine, 8 in the coordinated screening, 1 in the screening at the community level, 19 in the self-test, and 1 diagnosed when the individual sought medical treatment. Besides, there was 1 confirmed case and 5 asymptomatic cases imported from abroad. The imported cases were under arrangement when they entered.
Huizhou adds 15+33 new cases
On November 27, Huizhou reported 15 newly confirmed cases (5 in Huicheng District, 3 in Boluo County, 2 in Huidong County, 3 in Daya Bay, and 2 in HZZK Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone), and 33 asymptomatic cases (10 in Huicheng District, 5 in Huiyang District, 11 in Boluo County, 2 in Huidong County, 1 in Daya Bay, and 4 in HZZK Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone). Among the cases, 18 were detected during centralized quarantine, 11 in domestic quarantine, 11 in coordinated screening, 2 among close contacts, 2 in self test, 1 in the key population under non-closed loop management, 1 in the screening of high-risk areas, and 2 were diagnosed when the individuals sought medical treatment.
Dongguan reports 109 asymptomatic cases
On November 27, Dongguan added 109 asymptomatic cases. Among the cases, 45 were detected during centralized quarantine, 23 in domestic quarantine, 22 among the key population under closed loop management, 6 in the close contacts, 2 in the coordinated screening across districts, 9 in the screening at the community level, and 2 were detected when the individuals sought medical treatment.
Zhaoqing reports 7+8 new cases
On November 27, Zhaoqing added 5 new locally transmitted cases (mild type) and 6 asymptomatic cases. Of the cases, 4 were detected during centralized quarantine, and 7 in high-risk areas. Meanwhile, there was also 1 confirmed case (mild type) and 2 asymptomatic cases from other cities.
Maoming reports 5 new cases
On November 27, Maonan District of Maoming reported 1 confirmed case during centralized quarantine. Dianbai District added 1 positive case among the key population (arrivals from other provincial regions) under non-closed loop management. Gaozhou District added 1 positive case among the key population (arrivals from other provincial regions) under non-closed loop management. Huazhou added 2 confirmed cases (mild type), detected in self test and among the personnel during centralized quarantine.
Zhanjiang detects 34+14 new cases
On November 27, Zhanjiang reported 34 newly confirmed cases and 14 asymptomatic cases. 48 infections have been sent to a designated hospital in a closed loop for treatment. The close contacts and the outbreak locations have been under control.
Jieyang reports 11 asymptomatic cases
On November 27, Jieyang reported 11 asymptomatic cases (1 in Jiedong District, 7 in Puning, and 3 in Huilai County).
