On August 11, Guangdong reported 15 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases (1 in Shenzhen, 12 in Zhanjiang and 2 in Maoming), and 14 local asymptomatic infections (14 in Zhanjiang). 7 cases were converted from asymptomatic cases. (1 in Guangzhou and 6 in Zhanjiang).
Shenzhen reported 1 new confirmed case
On August 11, Shenzhen reported 1 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 case and 2 asymptomatic cases. A confirmed case was converted from an asymptomatic case. All the cases have been managed in the closed-loop and transferred to the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen for isolation and treatment. They are in stable condition now.
Zhanjiang detected 12 new confirmed cases and 14 asymptomatic infections
On August 11, Zhanjiang reported 12 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases and 14 asymptomatic cases. 6 confirmed cases were converted from an asymptomatic case. All the cases were detected from the key population associated with the outbreak in Leizhou on August 4. They have been sent to the designated hospital in Zhanjiang for isolation and treatment.
Maoming's Dianbai District detected 2 new confirmed cases
On August 11, 2 new locally transmitted COVID-19 confirmed cases were detected in Dianbai District, Maoming. All of them were found in the close contacts under quarantine associated with case 1 announced on August 5. They have been transferred to designated hospitals for isolation and treatment.
Guangzhou reported 1 asymptomatic case
On August 11, Guangzhou reported 1 asymptomatic infection. The patient was transferred to a centralized isolation hotel for observation as a close contact of a case from outside the province, and then sent to the Eighth Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University in a closed loop. The patient was diagnosed as asymptomatic infected.
