New cold front to hit Guangdong on Tuesday

A new cold wave is expected to affect Guangdong starting December 19, bringing a sunny and chilly weather pattern, according to the Guangdong Meteorological Observatory.

The minimum temperatures are likely to fall on the mornings of December 21 and 22, when north Guangdong will see a low of 0℃.

On December 19, Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Zhaoqing, and Yunfu are projected to witness overcast skies with light to moderate rain. West Guangdong and the western Pearl River Delta will be overcast with scattered light rain. The minimum temperatures will range from 4-8℃ in north Guangdong and the northern Pearl River Delta, 13-16℃ in south Guangdong, and 8-12℃ in the remaining areas.

On December 20, there will be scattered light rains and overcast skies in west and north Guangdong. Other regions will experience cloudy skies with sunny periods. The lows are forecasted to range between 3℃ and 7℃ in north Guangdong and the northern Pearl River Delta, 12℃ and 15℃ in south Guangdong, and 8℃ and 11℃ in the remaining areas.

On December 21, most parts of the province can expect a mix of sun and clouds. The lows are likely to stay around 0-5℃ in north Guangdong and the northern Pearl River Delta, 10-13℃ in south Guangdong, and 5-9℃ in the remaining areas.
