Huizhou provides free services for Gaokao students to get around

As the 2025 national college entrance exam (Gaokao) approaches, Huicheng District, Huizhou City, is once again offering free rides to support students during the exam period (June 7-9). Students presenting their exam admission tickets can ride designated vehicles at no cost.

Now in its 18th year, the campaign features 26 transport providers—including buses, taxis, and ride-hailing services—with a fleet of 1,233 vehicles marked with a "Free Rides for Gaokao Students" logo and green ribbons.

From June 3, students or guardians can book personalized, complimentary taxi or ride-hailing services via the hotline by providing their addresses and contact details. Students without reservations can still board any participating buses for free by showing their admission tickets.
