The 13th Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held its second session in the morning of January 22 in Guangzhou. Over 700 Guangdong provincial CPPCC members and more than 200 attendees gathered at the Baiyun International Conference Center.
"Next year, the 15th National Games will be hosted in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). As a young person in Hong Kong, you can go to watch the football games in Shenzhen, watch table tennis games in Guangzhou, and then go to Zhongshan to watch other sports. Through the 15th National Games in 2025, everyone can experience the 1-hour life circle of the GBA. In addition to people from Hong Kong and Macao, I think people from all over the world will come to the GBA for the Games,"said Eric Fok, Standing Committee Member of the Guangdong Provincial CPPCC and Chairman of the Hong Kong Guangdong Youth Association.
He also expressed hope that in the future, the GBA can host more international sports events, attract more tourists through events, and let them know more about China through the region.
