On May 18, the Consulate General of the Israel in Guangzhou held a reception to celebrate the 69th Independence Day of the State of Israel and the 25th Anniversary of the Diplomatic Relations between Israel & China in Guangzhou.
Nadav Cohen, Consul General of Israel in Guangzhou, delivered a speech in the reception.
“Guangdong is one of the earliest provinces in China to carry out exchanges and cooperation with Israel. In recent years, Guangdong and Israel have achieved fruitful cooperation, particularly in high frequence visit on science & technology, education, and environment protection,”said by Chen Yunxian, a senior leader of Guangdong Government, “We two countries should seize the opportunity to strengthen the development in the framework of Belt & Road initiative, focusing on scientific and technological innovation, education, culture, water resources, agriculture, health care, clean energy and other areas. What’s more, the Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology is going to enroll students in this year.”
Nadav Cohen, Consul General of Israel in Guangzhou said that Guangdong is an important partner for Israel. China- Israel International Science and Technology Cooperation Industrail Park in Dongguan and China-Israel Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Area both serve as important platforms to promote high-tech industrial cooperation between the two countries. For culture exchange, more Israeli artists are performing in China including Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shantou in Fields of theatre, film, music, dance and fine art. The exchange and cooperation between Guangdong and Israel in vary fields will be further strengthened.
