On the occasion of the International Day of Human Fraternity (February 4), Mariam Alshamsi, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Guangzhou, sends her greetings.
According to Alshamsi, this day commemorates the signing of the "Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together" that took place in Abu Dhabi in 2019.
"At its core, human fraternity is the recognition of the need to understand and support one another to live in harmony," said Alshamsi.
"In the UAE, these values of tolerance and inclusion are our way of life. Putting our common humanity above differences is a must when we have more than 200 nationalities living side by side; among them are more than 400,000 Chinese expats who are our cherished friends, neighbors, and colleagues," she added.
