"Time to Taste Portugal" tourism & gastronomic promotion held in Guangzhou

Featuring boutique travel routes and Portuguese foods, the "Time to Taste Portugal" tourism & gastronomic promotion was held in Guangzhou on April 21.

This event was attended by travel associations and agencies from South China, local authorities, as well as importers/distributors of Portugal products, with the Visit Portugal WeChat Mini-Program being officially launched during this activity.

Ana Menezes Cordeiro, Consul General of Portugal in Guangzhou, said that Guangzhou is one of the most important hubs in South China and where, every year, there are more and more travelers visiting Portugal. 

She added, "Besides, we have many important travel trade partners in this city with whom we have worked for a long time already, so they also give us confidence to keep investing our efforts here."

According to Cordeiro, in the next step, the Portuguese national tourism bureau (Visit Portugal) will be present at many culture and tourism expos and tradeshows all over China. "There will be a big new co-branding campaign to be launched soon, and also with a renowned Chinese brand, along with presence in Chinese social media and many new interactions with consumers," she said.
