A sailing event sheds light on a shared future between China and Netherlands

This year marks the 50th year of Diplomatic Relations between China and the Netherlands. A sunny and breezy Saturday (25th of June) witnessed a Sailing event themed with "Sailing to A Shared Future" was held in the Nansha Marina, Guangzhou. As one of the series of activities celebrating 50 years' path these two countries have gone through, this event was organized by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Guangzhou to enhance mutual exchanges and collaboration between the two sides.

Michiel Bierkens, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Guangzhou, highlighted, "The relations between the Netherlands and China is, of course, much longer than 50 years. Water, which connects and unites people, has played a vital role in this long lasting relations. We look forward to further deepening and expanding our bilateral relations in areas of mutual interests in the years to come."

The sailing event included a friendly sailing race among Dutch and Chinese participants who are active in the fields of trade, investment, culture and others.
