.

Starting from April 15th, GDToday is going deep into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), to show you the great charm and great potential of this area.

Today, let's get a quick look at Jiangmen, one of the key node cities and the automobile base in the GBA.

Jiangmen, situated in south central Guangdong province, is geographically connected to Foshan to the east, Yangjiang to the west, Yunfu to the north, and relatively close to Hong Kong and Macao.

Thanks to its advantageous geographic position, the city has always been a leader in economic development, having been selected as a pilot city for a national information programme by the state council, as well as a trial city for the Regional Integration for Sustainable Economics project by the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council.

Given the area's wealth of unique natural resources, Jiangmen also has a good foundation for tourism, winning numerous national honors including the top tourist city, the National Garden City and a model city for environmental protection.

About GBA

The GBA consists of the Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and nine cities in Guangdong (namely Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing) with a total area of 56,000 square kilometers.

Featuring regional advantages, strong economy, innovation power and advanced engagement with international businesses, the GBA will become a dynamic world-class city cluster, a global technology and innovation hub, a key component of Belt and Road initiative, a showcase for in-depth cooperation between the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macao, as well as an ideal place for living, working and traveling.
