Recently, Guangzhou Metro APP has combined multiple codes into one code to facilitate travelers. In other words, the QR code of Guangzhou Metro will not only allow people to take a Metro but also show passengers' health code, and nucleic acid test results. The "One Code Travel" is currently in trial operation.
According to Guangzhou Metro, during the trial operation of this new function, passengers are suggested to download or upgrade to its latest APP version (v5.10.0 or above) in advance. After real-name authentication, residents can take the Metro with only one code.
Only five steps are needed to access to this new function.
First, download or update to the latest version of the Guangzhou Metro APP;
Second, sign up or log in;
Third, complete the real-name authentication ;
Fourth, enable the function of the Metro code;
Fifth, finish health code authorization.
The Metro code needs to be linked with passengers' personal information so that the system can trace back to their health information such as health codes and nucleic acid test reports.
It's more convenient and time-saving because it's no longer needed to switch between different codes. However, only passengers with a green code can take the Metro. Those with a red or yellow health code won't be given a Metro code in their APP and the forbidden symbols of the corresponding colors will show. They are not allowed to enter the station and take the Metro.
After this function is enabled, passengers' health information can be updated immediately. The information is only for display and won't be stored on any device, which ensures data security to the greatest degree.
During the trial operation, the settings of this new function will be continuously optimized and iterated according to operational effects and passenger feedback.

Moreover, Guangzhou Metro reminds passengers that those who use physical Metro cards still need to abide by the previous regulation, namely, show the health code before entering the station.
