Since May 31, the COVID-19 test price in Guangdong has been further lowered, according to the Healthcare Security Administration of Guangdong Province.
After the adjustment, the price shall not exceed 16 RMB per person for a single nucleic acid test for COVID-19, among which the service fee has decreased to 10.5 RMB.

It was further lowered since Guangdong adjusted the single nucleic acid test for COVID-19 on May 20.
In accordance with the adjustment on May 20, the price for group testing, which combines samples from up to 10 people in a test, should be no more than 5 RMB per person, and 3 RMB per person for a regular mass testing. The price of an antigen test is reduced to no more than 6 RMB per person.
A total of 14 products of nucleic acid reagents and accessories from 5 companies, have been reduced by an average of 16% , with a maximum decrease of 25%. The 5 companies include Guangzhou Daan Gene, Sansur Biotech, and Chaozhou Hybribio Biotech. Nucleic acid testing kits produced by Guangzhou Daan Gene have been reduced from 4.25 to 3.2 RMB per person.
