Bizeye | Starting From Guangdong, Carlsberg Is Steadfastly Investing in the Chinese Market

As the 2024 Provincial High-Quality Development Conference approaches, Chee Kong Lee, President of Carlsberg China, in an interview with the Yangcheng Evening News, expressed strong confidence in the development of the Greater Bay Area. He highlighted that Guangdong's excellent business environment would increase companies' confidence in expanding their investments.

"The Greater Bay Area boasts a high-quality business environment, a thriving economy, robust consumer power, and advantages in population structure, making it one of the most developed regions both in China and globally," Lee stated. "Therefore, we are very optimistic about the beer market development in the Greater Bay Area. Starting from Guangdong, Carlsberg is firmly investing in the Chinese market and is one of the Danish companies with the most substantial investments in China."

Praising the business environment in Guangdong, Lee remarked, "We can feel the government's continuous efforts to create a high-quality business environment for enterprises. For instance, in terms of tax services, the Greater Bay Area has introduced various tax incentives for companies, and local tax authorities respond promptly to practical issues encountered in corporate production and operation. Taking the Tianhe District, where our corporate headquarters is located, as an example, the tax bureau promptly provides guidance and coordinates to solve related problems. The high-quality business environment in Guangdong further strengthens our confidence in continued investment and development."
