GZL's first tour group to Antarctica departs from Pazhou Ferry Terminal

On the afternoon of November 21st, an Antarctic tour group organized by GZL International Travel Service gathered at Pazhou Ferry Terminal to set off. It is GZL's first Antarctic tour group since the resumption of outbound tourism in China.

A total of 36 tourists took a high-speed ferry at 17:30 to Hong Kong International Airport, where they boarded an Emirates flight to Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, via Dubai. They will then proceed to Ushuaia, Argentina, known as the "end of the world", to embark on a 16-day Antarctic journey.

It is learned that in order to meet the needs of fast customs clearance for inbound and outbound travelers, the fast channel of information collection at Pazhou Port was officially put into operation in August this year. Eligible passengers can enter the fast channel for customs clearance after information collection.

Yan Xuezheng, the instructor of the second team on duty at the Zhoutouzui Exit and Entry Border Inspection Station, said that passengers who need to collect information for the fast channel can make the request to the on-site police officers during the clearance, or passengers can also call the National Immigration Administration's service hotline 12367 to make an appointment for information collection.

It is understood that in order to create a safe and efficient water new passage for border-crossing in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the ferry service between Pazhou Port and Hong Kong International Airport will be adjusted to four inbound and four outbound from September 1st.

Up to now, a total of 58 airlines support Pazhou Port's sea-air intermodal transport connection service, among which 14 airlines can check in at Pazhou Port in advance.

In addition, starting from October 1st, the high-speed ferries traveling to and from Pazhou Ferry Terminal will increase speed on some routes, reducing the travel time by about 10-20 minutes. GZL has stated that there will be more tour groups departing from Hong Kong International Airport using Pazhou Port's sea-air intermodal transport connection service to facilitate the travel of tourists.

It is reported that this Antarctic tour will include landing in Antarctica and visiting attractions such as the South Shetland Islands, Cuverville Island, Aitcho Island, Paradise Bay, and Iceberg Plaza. A tourist born in the 1990s and her twin sister travel together this time, and she described this journey as not only a pure journey but also a green journey. She hopes to raise awareness of environmental protection for herself and those around her after the trip.
