Savoring authentic double-skin milk with ROK food vlogger in Shunde

The 135th Canton Fair will be held from April 15 to May 5 in Guangzhou. In addition to business negotiations, Cantonese cuisine will be a must-try for global buyers and exhibitors.

As a famous Cantonese dessert, shuangpinai, or double-skin milk, is particularly popular in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and overseas Chinatowns.

Double-skin milk originated from Shunde, a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, with buffalo milk as the main raw material. Featuring a custard-like texture, this delectable dessert has two layers of skin and is similar to, but lighter and healthier than, average pudding.

Kim Daesu, a food vlogger from the Republic of Korea (ROK), was impressed after trying double-skin milk in Shunde several years ago. Recently, he went back there and tasted it again. Let's follow his video to sample this classic Cantonese dessert!
