More than 1,500 pets gathered at the South China Agricultural University (SCAU) on April 2 to take part in the 17th South China Pet Carnival. The event has also attracted over 20,000 visitors and nearly 40 pet-related companies so far.
In addition to traditional pets like cats and dogs, many new pet species were exhibited this year, including professional racing horses, docile ponies, snakes, and geckos.
Veterinarians from the Teaching Animal Hospital of the SCAU offer free medical services for pets in need. Pet photography, pet portraits, pet grooming, handmade games and other interactive activities were also provided on that day.
