More Guangdong universities to open campuses to the public for free

The beautiful university campuses in Guangdong not only attract prospective students and their families, but are also popular destinations for tourists and residents to admire flowers, stunning architecture, and noteworthy landmarks.

The Department of Education of Guangdong Province recently announced that there are more than 100 colleges and universities in the province, and over 50 of them are preparing to open their campuses to the public.

At present, Shenzhen University and Southern University of Science and Technology have opened their visit reservation systems to the public. Universities such as Sun Yat-sen University and South China University of Technology are developing and testing their appointment systems. 

A faculty member from the South China Agricultural University said the school would open its Wushan campus, which is famous for bauhinia and cherry blossoms, when the new semester starts in September.

Southern University of Science and Technology

Follow the “平安南科大” WeChat account and click the "服务指南 (Service Guide)" and "校园参观登记 (Campus Visit Registration)" on the bottom service column.


 


The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen)

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) is open to the public on weekends and statutory holidays. Visitors can enter the school after registering at the gate with their ID cards.

Shenzhen MSU-BIT University

People can make visit appointments on the “参观深圳北理莫斯科大学” WeChat mini-program.

In addition, most universities in Guangdong have launched online alumni cards. Graduates can enter the campus with an appointment or an online alumni card.

Sun Yat-sen University's alumni can enter five campuses with alumni cards.

South China University of Technology’s alumni can bring up to three friends or family members into the school, and the accompanying persons under 10 or over 70 years old are exempt from registration.

Jinan University's alumni can enter the campus by presenting alumni cards and ID cards. From June 1, students and alumni can enter the Shipai campus with no more than five accompanying persons.

South China Normal University's alumni can enter the campus and purchase meals in the school cafeteria with alumni cards.

South China Agricultural University's alumni can bring no more than three relatives or friends to the school.

Guangdong University of Foreign Studies's alumni can enter the campus with alumni cards. No appointment is required. Accompanying persons can also enter the school after registering with a valid ID card.
