The 136th China Import and Export Fair (hereinafter referred to as the Canton Fair) will be held in Guangzhou in three phases from October 15 to November 4. This session of the Canton Fair is expected to attract 730 enterprises to join the import exhibition.

On September 4, the first batch of imported exhibits for the 136th Canton Fair arrived. These exhibits, mainly home appliances such as gas stoves, washing machines, and ovens from Egypt, totaled 43 items with a combined weight of 3,264 kilograms, marking the official start of the exhibition setup phase for this Canton Fair.

Since the successful customs clearance and entry of the first batch of imported exhibits on September 4, over RMB 4.3 million worth of imported exhibits for the Canton Fair have arrived in 72 batches via sea and air transportation at ports such as Nansha Port and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. These exhibits mainly originate from various countries and regions including Egypt, Thailand, Türkiye, Greece, Germany, Portugal, Nigeria, and Pakistan.

According to Guangzhou Customs, based on the current customs record, imported exhibits for all three phases of this Canton Fair have arrived. It is estimated that enterprises from 49 countries and regions will participate, showcasing products such as electronics and home appliances, hardware tools, building materials, and furniture. As the Canton Fair approaches, it is expected that there will be a concentrated arrival of exhibits in the coming days.

Guangzhou Customs has announced 20 measures to ensure smooth and efficient customs clearance, including setting up a dedicated service channel for quick customs clearance for Canton Fair at major ports in the customs district, such as Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Nansha Port, to prioritize procedures such as cargo declaration, inspection, sampling, and testing, thereby improving the customs clearance efficiency of exhibition goods.

At the Pazhou Ferry Terminal, Guangzhou Customs has also established a "Canton Fair Channel". Passengers can quickly complete customs clearance procedures with valid documents or Canton Fair invitations. Pazhou Ferry Terminal is located approximately 100 meters in a straight line from the Canton Fair exhibition hall. As the only water-based cross-border port in the central urban area of Guangzhou, Pazhou Ferry Terminal connects Pazhou with Hong Kong International Airport and downtown Hong Kong.

Currently, the number of passenger ships operating between Pazhou Ferry Terminal and Hong Kong has increased from 2 trips per day during the initial operation period to 10 trips per day. Since the beginning of this year, up to the morning of October 11, the Canton Fair Complex Customs of the Guangzhou Customs has supervised the entry and exit of 128,000 passengers at Pazhou Ferry Terminal.
