GD activates Level IV emergency response for floods (with tips)

Guangdong initiated a Level IV emergency response for flood control in the province on April 4, according to the Guangdong provincial headquarters for flood, drought, and typhoon control.

The province entered the severe convective weather season in late March and is strengthening its defenses against climate-induced disasters.

The headquarters urged local authorities to strengthen monitoring and forecasts and stay alert for possible flooding, landslides, and mudslides.
