Canton Orchid Garden upgrades and will host a garden fair throughout October

Starting from October 1st, Canton Orchid Garden (Lanpu) will host a garden fair, which will run until October 31st. The fair features nine special thematic sections, showcasing a refreshed and upgraded experience at the Garden. Visitors who wear qipao or hanfu will receive a half-price admission discount. Additionally, from October 1st to 7th, the closing time will be extended from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

On October 1st and the afternoon of October 3rd, two banquets will be held at the Cypress area in the Garden, inviting local visitors to experience the romantic charm of the Tang Dynasty and appreciate its elegance. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in traditional craft experiences such as decorative fan painting, and enjoy folk games like tossing pots, ring toss, and chuiwan (hit the ball with a rod or stick) , adding to the festive cheer. Throughout the event, there will be performances featuring traditional musical instruments and classical dances, while hanfu enthusiasts will showcase flash mob dances, creating an enchanting atmosphere reminiscent of a prosperous era from a thousand years ago.

During the National Day holiday, the Guangzhou Institute of Forestry and Landscape Architecture will showcase 75 meticulously cultivated orchids at the garden, in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. These 75 orchids display a variety of shapes, elegant postures, and vibrant colors, creating a stunning visual feast for the public. The exhibition also features a range of new and outstanding orchid varieties that are sure to captivate visitors, presenting a refreshing and eye-catching experience.
