Typhoon 'Yinxing' formed over the northwest Pacific Ocean on the morning of yesterday (November 4) and strengthened from a severe tropical storm to a typhoon this morning (November 5).
At 5 a.m. today, the typhoon's center was located approximately 780 kilometers east of Manila, Philippines, in the northwestern Pacific Ocean. Maximum winds near the center reached 12 on the Beaufort scale.
According to forecasts, 'Yinxing' is expected to initially move northwestward at a speed of 20-25 kilometers per hour. After November 6, it will gradually shift its direction to the west, continuing to intensify and potentially reaching strong typhoon strength. The latest typhoon track prediction by the Central Meteorological Observatory indicates that 'Yinxing' will subsequently enter the South China Sea, with its wind field expected to affect the southern Guangdong coastal waters.
Authorities are closely monitoring the typhoon's progress and urging residents in potentially affected areas to remain vigilant and prepared for possible severe weather conditions.
