Foshan sent two delegations to Europe for investment and cooperation

Two business delegations from Foshan embarked on a trip to Europe on February 14 in the latest bid to further strengthen two-way exchanges and collaboration.

The delegation, comprised of representatives from Foshan Investment Promotion Bureau and Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone Administrative Committee, will head to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Italy and Belgium to launch a series of investment promotion and exchange activities.

Led by Ding Xifeng, member of the Standing Committee of the Foshan Municipal Party Committee, and Pan Dongsheng, Director of the Management Committee of Foshan Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City (Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone), the delegations will seize this remarkable opportunity to drive more high-quality German (European) projects to settle down in Foshan, which also marks the full restart of Foshan’s cooperation with Germany and Europe after the epidemic.

During this journey, the delegation will launcha series of eventson behalf of Foshan. Among them, the “Into Greater Bay Area·Sino-German Next—2023 Foshan Investment Promotion Conference (Berlin)”will be held in Berlin, Germany, to comprehensively promoteFoshans investment brand in Germany in the new era.

Focusingon the high-quality business environment and cooperation opportunities ofthe Greater Bay Area and Foshan, the event will introduceSouth China’s first specially formulated policies in industrial cooperation and promotion,the high-quality supporting facilities and servicesof the Sanlongwan Sino-German Industrial Park. Additionally,Greater Bay Area Sino-German Market Partnership Programwill be unveiledto the world at the event.

During this visit, a delegation ofFoshan entrepreneurs,includingrepresentatives oflocal key enterprises such as Yizumi and Longshen and representative enterpriseswith German cooperation, will also head to North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany and attend business discussion and exchanges. This trip will further consolidate solid partnership between Foshan and German enterprises and fuel the two-way convergence of Foshan’s industry “bringing in” and “going global”.

With the advantagesof this economic and trade event, hopefully we can further know more about theoverseabusiness environment, attractmore upstream and downstream internationalpartners in machinery and equipment industry, and extend overseabusinesseventually,”saidChen Liyao, COOof Yizumi.

Su Xin, CEOof Foshan Longshen Robot Co., Ltd., said that Longshen has been cooperating with some European companies for many years, but it has been interrupted by the pandemic. “We want to take this opportunity to haveface-to-facediscussion with our partners about our cooperative plans in the future.Su Xin added.

Based on the foundation of Foshan’s manufacturing industry, Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone has been closely focusing on the main line of “IndustrialServices” since its establishment in 2012. The Zone hasactively gatheredvarious industrial service resourcesand exploredthe Sino-Germandevelopment path to buildacrucial supportive platform for high-quality development,transformation and upgradingof Foshan’s manufacturing industry, and alsoa new Sino-Germanhighland of cooperation in the field of industrial services.

Over the past ten years, Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone has accumulated a number of representative projects for Sino-German cooperation.
