Caishu caged football allows children to play while learning about traditional Chinese culture.
On May 29, a ceremony was held at the Eleventh Primary School of Xinan subdistrict, Sanshui District, Foshan, to promote Caishu Caged Football in schools and commercial areas. It is a fashionable sport that combines caged football with "Caishu" (an innovation in the art of Chinese character writing).
At the event, the first batch of 14 Caishu caged football fields was officially opened, with 9 schools in the Xinan subdistrict and the Kuaizi Street commercial area taking the lead in the pilot program. The Guangdong Football Association awarded Xinan subdistrict the plaque of "Caishu Caged Football Demonstration Base."
Among the nine schools, eight have been designated as National Youth Campus Football Model Schools. Over the years, they have achieved remarkable results in competitions at national, provincial, municipal, and district levels.
"I believe Xinan subdistrict can cultivate more future football stars of Sanshui through Caishu caged football," said Zhou Suian, Vice President of the Guangdong Football Association. He added that the initiative promoting "happy football" can attract more children and youth to get involved, bringing up potential football talent for the future.
Looking ahead, Xinan subdistrict will continue to promote Caishu caged football in more schools, communities, commercial areas, and tourist attractions. It also plans to build a Caishu caged football theme park to allow more people to enjoy the sport.
