A Dongguan art toys exhibition themed "Explore Trend of China Chic, Create Memory of Art Toy" will be held in San Francisco, U.S., on May 29th.
The event aims to promote economic and trade development as well as cultural exchanges between China and the U.S. through people-to-people activities.
Over 200 China-chic art toys from Dongguan city, Guangdong province, will be exhibited at Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco, showcasing the trendy art toy culture and industrial development in Dongguan.
The art toys to be exhibited are from leading enterprises in Dongguan, including Dongguan Weishi Culture Technology Co., Ltd, Dongguan Dongxiu Culture Communication Co. Ltd, and Chengshi (Dongguan) Culture Technology Co., Ltd. Their products feature traditional Chinese cultures and are well-received in global markets.

The Northern California Hanfu Association will be invited to perform at the event, showcasing traditional Chinese culture such as Hanfu, the traditional attire that used to be worn by the ethnic-majority Han Chinese.
Dongguan is located in the center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, situated between Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. It is China's first "Capital of Art Toys" and the country's largest toy export base. About a quarter of the world's animation derivatives products and nearly 85% of China's art toy products are produced in Dongguan.
Dongguan boasts over 4,000 toy manufacturing enterprises, with a total industrial output value of the art toy industry reaching 16.657 billion yuan in 2022.
The event is jointly hosted by the Dongguan Publication Department and the Dongguan Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports, organized by GDToday and the Dongguan Branch of Nanfang Media Group, with support from the Asian Cultural Exchange Association.
