The latest batch of 15 innovative practices in the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) was selected recently, including 3 cases from Hengqin, announced Zhang Jinsong, Director General of the Guangdong Department of Commerce and Director of the General Affairs Office of the Guangdong FTZ at a press conference on June 7.
The cases include the innovative application of tax asset certificates, the implementation of cross-border handling for commercial registration, and the "CLAP-U Portuguese" financial service solution.
The innovative application of tax asset certificates enables Macao-funded enterprises registered in Hengqin to apply for credit loans from commercial banks in Macao and enjoy cross-border financing services with an electric tax asset certificate.
Hengqin and Macao created a "cross-border handling" mechanism in 2022 to open offices in the two areas and offer on-site services for business registration. Now investors in Hengqin and Macao can complete the registration in both places, and get their business licenses within three hours.
In September 2022, China Construction Bank (CCB) launched the "CLAP-U Portuguese" financial service solution in Hengqin, providing a facilitated and systematic financial service solution for the business and financial cooperation between China and the market entities from Portuguese-speaking countries.
