Xiaomo International Logistics Port: Nearly 15,000 vehicles exported in Q1| In Guangdong We Trust

On March 26th, the "Tanghong Ship," a large roll-on/roll-off (RORO) ship loaded with 3,258 BYD new energy vehicles, slowly departed from the Xiaomo International Logistics Port in the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen City (hereinafter referred to as "Xiaomo Port"), bound for the Port of Vitória in Brazil.

Since the beginning of 2024, Xiaomo Port has accelerated its export pace. On January 16th, the first RORO carrier of BYD, the "Explorer No. 1," made its maiden voyage from Xiaomo Port, opening the "Xiaomo Port-Europe" RORO ship foreign trade route. Following that, on February 7th, the new RORO ship route "Xiaomo Port-South America" was officially launched, marking the sixth RORO ship foreign trade route of Xiaomo Port. The gradually improved route layout continues to enhance Xiaomo Port's position and influence in the international shipping market, providing more efficient and convenient logistics channels for automobile exports from Southern China.

As an international deep-water port, Xiaomo Port serves as the "East Wing" of the future "One Core, Three Wings" of Shenzhen Port. Xiaomo Port has the highest berth grade for multi-purpose public terminals in the eastern Guangdong region. Phase I of Xiaomo Port includes two 100,000-tonnage berths and one 50,000-tonnage berth, which have been approved for opening to other countries, making it a first-class open port in the country.

At the beginning of this year, the first phase of the Xiaomo Port breakwater project and the automobile roll-on/roll-off terminal project started. As a transportation artery linking port industries and advanced manufacturing, the expressway connecting Shenzhen and Hong Kong is expected to be open to traffic in both directions by the end of April this year.

The continuously improving road transportation network and the safer, more professional, and higher-quality automobile roll-on/roll-off transportation services are attracting more new energy automobile chain companies to "settle down" in the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone, accelerating the construction of an international automobile trade hub.

According to an official of the Shenshan Administration of the Transport Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, Xiaomo Port will export 70,000 to 100,000 vehicles this year. It is estimated that by 2025, Xiaomo Port will achieve an annual transportation volume of over 100,000 vehicles for automobile foreign trade, and by 2030, the automobile transportation capacity will reach 1 million vehicles.
