The 2023 Guangzhou Marathon will start at 7:30 am on December 10 at the Tianhe Sports Center. Temporary traffic control measures will be implemented on certain roads in the city.
To facilitate the travel of the contestants and staff, the first trains of Guangzhou Metro Line 1, Line 3 (including Line 3 North Extension), and APM Line will start operating at 5:30 am, and additional trains will be deployed based on the situation of passenger flow. During this period, the train frequency for Lines 1 and 3 (including Line 3 North Extension) will be every 10 minutes, while that for APM Line will be every 6 minutes.
Furthermore, contestants, staff, referees, and volunteers with the race bib or work permits of the 2023 Guangzhou Marathon can enjoy free subway rides on the event day. Designated personnel of the stations will be arranged to guide them through the "green channel".
To ensure the safety and orderliness of the area near Tianhe Sports Center and Huacheng Square during the event, the trains of the APM line will not stop at the Tianhe Sports Center South Station from 5:30 am to 8:00 am, or the Haixinsha Station from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm on December 10. Please pay close attention to station announcements for guidance.
