Over 1,300 companies offer 70,000 jobs at Guangzhou South Railway Station

On March 17th, 2024, the "Guangdong Spring Warmth" large-scale job fair was held at Guangzhou South Railway Station. Over 1,300 companies offered more than 70,000 job opportunities. Among them, over 400 are in the manufacturing companies sector, with technical positions accounting for about 45%. According to statistics, Guangdong has organized over 1,400 online and offline job fairs, providing over 1.5 million job opportunities.

The humanmovement reflects economic vitality, which in turn accelerates human movement. As the busiest transportation hub in South China, Guangzhou South Railway Station sees tens of thousands of passengers gathering daily, which is a vibrant scene.

"I saw on my friend's social media that there's a job fair at Guangzhou South Railway Station today. I took a train from Changsha to attend," said Zhu, a post-00s from Hunan. He is a student majoring in accounting. He began job hunting and interning last year but faced obstacles everywhere. Eventually, Zhu set his sights on Guangzhou. "There are many opportunities here, and the demand for labor is high. There must be a place for me."

After only a brief walk around, Zhu submitted three resumes and even received an internship offer from one company. "In Guangdong, job fairs are easily accessible," Zhu exclaimed.

At the venue, Zhu was not alone in seeking employment opportunities. Job seekers carried carefully-crafted resumes, searching for their desired companies. "There's a wide array of options available," many post-00s job seekers remarked upon seeing the variety of industries and positions.

Statistics show that at this job fair, the main venue at Guangzhou South Railway Station hosted over 600 recruiting companies, offering approximately 4,900 positions. The Dongguan Humen Station branch gathered over 100 local high-quality companies, covering various industries such as electronics, new materials, intelligent manufacturing, furniture, and textiles. The Yuexiu, Conghua, and Zengcheng branch venues collectively featured over 300 companies and provided over 1,000 positions.

In addition to the manufacturing sector, the job fair also featured special recruitment zones such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area city zone, foreign investment and trade zone, comprehensive enterprise recruitment zone, CEO recruitment zone, and temporary work zone, aiming to help every job seeker find their desired position.

During this job fair, venues in Guangdong will be connected via live broadcast with Guangxi and Guizhou, allowing real-time interaction between companies in Guangdong and job seekers from Guangxi and Guizhou, facilitating high-quality employment for workers from these regions in Guangdong.

Furthermore, major labor-exporting provinces such as Sichuan, Jiangxi, Hunan, and Hubei will also actively participate in this recruitment event. Through methods like live broadcasting of job fairs and synchronous broadcasting through intelligent machines in multiple locations, information about job opportunities in Guangdong will be instantly delivered to job seekers in various regions, thereby attracting labor from other provinces to seek employment in Guangdong.
