On December 2, many districts in Guangzhou resumed dine-in service. As local residents’ life are back to track, it’s still important to protect themselves in public places.
Food markets and drug stores in Yuexiu district no longer require a negative 24-hour or 48-hour COVID-19 test result to enter. A green health code and normal body temperature are needed.
“I think we should frequently wash our hands when we get home, and wear our masks when going outside. We need to protect ourselves first so that we know how to protect our family members,” said a lady who was buying her groceries in the nearby food market.
Mr. Liang, a head cook in a restaurant at No.1 Zhongshan Road in Yuexiu district, also mentioned that the staff need to have a green health code before coming back to work.
“It’s been a long time since we've eaten out together. But we need to protect ourselves. Wear a mask when going out, and often sterilize with alcohol. In doing so, we will be safe in every possible way,” said a customer who was enjoying morning tea in the restaurant.
