From November 24th to 26th, the Guangdong Tourism and Culture Festival 2023 was held in the coastal city of Zhuhai.

One of the key activities was a visit to the iconic super project, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, as well as the world's largest indoor theme park, Chimelong Spaceship.

As a super-engineering marvel connecting Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has become a landmark of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, presenting a stunning sight across the Lingdingyang, the middle channel of the Pearl River estuary.
The trial operation for tourism on the bridge is set to open in mid-December this year, with the route limited to travel between the Zhuhai land port and the Blue Dolphin Island. Residents of Hong Kong, Macao, and the Chinese mainland will have the opportunity to embark on a guided tour of the bridge.
Zhuhai Chimelong Spaceship Theme Park
While traveling on the bridge by touring buses, visitors can experience the grandeur of the sprawling sea and admire the distinct architectures, such as the Jiuzhou Bridge with its "sail" shape, the dolphin-like Jianghai Bridge and the Qingzhou Bridge shaped in a "Chinese knot" along with three navigable spans. They can also pass through the world's longest immersed tunnel and the only deep-buried immersed tunnel, catch glimpses of Hong Kong's Lantau Island, and even have the chance to encounter the Chinese white dolphins. The Blue Dolphin Island, where visitors will stop, is designed in the shape of an "oyster" and incorporates elements of the traditional qilou buildings. It boasts the world's largest architectural complex made of raw concrete for marine engineering, where visitors can delve into the technological aspects of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge construction.
In addition to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Zhuhai also offers another popular attraction worth visiting – the Chimelong Spaceship. This massive indoor theme park combines various elements of outer space fantasy settings, the conservation and nursing of rare marine life, ecological and environmental science education, grand performances, and interactive amusement facilities.

The park features 17 ocean and space-themed attractions, including the first riding facilities for underwater amusement experience, called the"Deep Sea Submarine", and the dynamic cinema of the"Bermuda Adventure" with the latest audiovisual technology. All these are sure to bring a wonderful immersive experience in outer space for visitors.
The park also boasts China's first breeding base for killer whales with the world's largest indoor venue in it. There is the world's largest simulated wave system at six levels for killer whales, offering opportunities to witness natural behaviors such as splashing, jumping, and swift swimming.
