Weather forecasts predict Guangzhou will continue experiencing showers and thundershowers over the next few days and most parts of the province will be cloudy and hit by scattered showers.
Although the “Dragon Boat rain” has closed its curtain, the whole province is still enveloped in thunderstorms and high temperatures. However, the thunderstorms won’t last for a very long time before the sunny and hot days kick in.
According to the Guangdong Meteorological Service, the province is expected to experience more thunderstorms from June 25 to June 28.
The southern parts of Western Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta, as well as parts of the coastal cities and counties in Eastern Guangdong, will have rainstorms or heavy downpours in the next two days. On June 28, the temperature in the cities and counties of north central Guangdong will reach as high as 35 degree Celsius.
Due to the frequent high temperatures and thunderstorms in the province, please pay close attention to the major influence on outdoor activities and traveling especially in the coastal islands.
