24 projects with an investment of over 10 billion yuan (about 1.57 billion USD) were put into operation in Guangdong's Jiangmen city on March 29.

Among them, there are 17 industrial projects worth 5.936 billion yuan and 7 non-industrial projects involving a total investment of 4.086 billion yuan.
According to local government, Taishan's gross domestic product (GDP) exceeded 50 billion yuan with an increase of 8.5% year on year. The city’s goal of economic and social development for 2022 is to increase the regional GDP by about 9%.
To achieve that goal, Taishan this year will highlight the development of advanced manufacturing, steadily expand internal and external demand, vigorously promote opening up, and adhere to regional coordinated development, said local officials.
